TS.ELBEGDORJ RECEIVES FIRST VICE PRESIDENT OF IRAN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian President was welcomed on September 1 by Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Islamic Republic of Iran. The guard of honor stood in line, and national anthems of the two countries were played. Then the two Presidents hold negotiations that have resulted in agreeing on three major matters--a cooperate in history studies, a creation of a fund under the Presidents to grant scholarship to history scientists and students of the two sides, to invite the Iranian group to scientific conference in Mongolia during the 850th anniversary of Chingis Khaan's birthday, and a research into opportunities to develop an economic cooperation. Then the two documents--a memorandum on creating a mechanism to run consultative meetings every year between the two countries' Foreign Affairs Ministries, and a memorandum on easing visa regime--have been signed by Mr L.Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and Mr Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran. xxxxx The President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj has received the First vice President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Reza Rahimi. The two dignitaries have exchanged views on ways of cooperating within the Non Aligned Movement. Another topic of their talks has been the two countries' history. They underlined that it is of great importance for the sides to save and keep unique culture and traditions during the nowadays globalization.
