Bensberg Mosque named best landmark in Bavaria

Munich, Oct 19, 2008 (WAM) - The Bensberg Mosque, built by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, was voted the 'Bavaria's Best Landmark' by the panel of Architecture '&' Construction Award in the state. The 3 million Euro mosque was inaugurated by Sheikh Sultan in September 2005. The state of the art mosque and Islamic centre offers services to the Muslim communities in Germany and will act as a conduit for cultural rapprochement.
