STANDING COMMITTEE ON STATE STRUCTURE REPORTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The parliamentary Standing committee on state structure approved nine draft laws, six parliamentary draft resolutions, issued 15 proposals and conclusions--all this during the irregular session of the State Great Khural which ran from August 29 to September 18. It was reported at a news conference on Thursday by the Standing committee. The committee also adopted a bill on the local elections submitted by A.Bakei and R.Burmaa MPs. In conjunction with it, parliamentary resolutions on altering the law on civil registration and on annulling the law were discussed as well. In addition, the 2012-2016 action programme of the cabinet was approved. Other issues were considered by this committee such as appointing the National council's members of the Public Radio and Television, discharging a president of the Bank of Mongolia and appointing a new one.
