HEALTH MINISTER RECIEVES IFEC'S DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the frame of the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, a delegation of the International Friendship Exchange Council of Japan /FEC / is visiting Mongolia. The delegation, headed by the Chief Executive Officer of FEC Mr Kenichi Matsumoto, met with the Health Minister of Mongolia Ms N.Udval on September 19. Mr Matsumoto said aims of their visit are to get au fait with regarding the social sectors, to collect beforehand information about problems arisen, and to exchange opinions on starting of a cooperation. The Minister Udval spoke about projects and programmes the Japanese state institutions and NGOs have inplemented in the Mongolian health and care system, and the Action Plan of the newly formed Government, especially the health policies and activities. Then the two sides expressed mutual interest in jointly dealing with medical equipment supply, maintenance, re-education for the medical specialists, medical assistance and service improvement for remoted localities, and agreed to run negotiations.
