FM ATTENDS MEETINGS OF 67TH SESSION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold has attended two meetings of the 67th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, USA. On Monday, he took part in the Ministerial Meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and in the High-Level Panel Discussion "Strengthening the Rule of Law : The Fight Against Corruption and its Impact on sustainable Economic Growth". Mongolia has been elected the member of the ECOSOC from the Asian Group. This year's Ministerial Meeting has discussed ways of ensuring the sustainable development, forwarding the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and reforming the ECOSOC. The same day, the Foreign Minister met with Mr Thomas R.Nides, the United States Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, to share views on present situation of the Mongolia-USA relations and cooperation and its future. Mr Bold also received Dr. Tomicah Tillemann, the Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Civil Society and Emerging Democracies.
