TS.ELBEGDORJ MEETS COUNTERPART FROM CZECH REPUBLIC

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Taking part in the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, the President Ts.Elbegdorj met on Tuesday his counterpart from the Czech Republic Mr Vaclav Klaus. Expressing a satisfaction with a development of the bilateral relations and cooperation, the President Elbegdorj hoped that a partnership and cooperation agreement will be established soon between Mongolia and the European Union (EU). He thanked the Czech side for supporting Mongolia in this matter. "Some 6 thous. Mongolians are living and studying in Czech Republic, Your country is an important partner of Mongolia in Europe," Elbegdorj stressed. He emphasized an importance of increasing a quota of Mongolian students to study in Czech and of augmenting the trade and economic cooperation. Saying that Mongolia and Czech have friendly and traditional relations, Mr Klaus underlined his country highly speaks Mongolia's achievements in the democracy and human rights, and congratulated Mongolia on the success in economic growth.
