Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolians wrestlers grabbed silver and bronze medals in the Grand Prix tournament named after D.P.Korkin held on October 6-7 in Yakutsk, Russia.
A Mongolian B.Nomin won the silver at the men's 55 kg contest by defeating opponents from Russian Yakutia and the USA. At the final round, he was beaten by V.Andreev from Belarus.
Another Mongolian P.Onorbat won the bronze in the men's 74 kg contest.
The Mongolians received cash prizes of USD 2,000 and 1,000, respectively.

The 2012 Asian Weightlifting Junior and Youths' Championships started on Sunday in Ulaanbaatar. The events have brought together some 120 weightlifters from ten countries.
On the first day of the tournament, five Mongolian grabbed gold medals in the men's -69 and +69 kg, and women's 44, 48 and 53 kg weight categories.

The Mongolia's Judo Federation has selected judoists to compete in the Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Prix to run on October 11-13 in the United Arab Emirates.
The men's team has comprised G.Boldbaatar, D.Amartuvshin (men's 60 kg), Yo.Altansukh, B.Khishigbayar (66 kg), G.Odbayar (73 kg), B.Ambaselmaa (90 kg), G.Saranzaya, B.Altantsetseg (women's 48 kg), B.Bat-Erdene (52 kg), D.Sumya (57 kg) and B.Mongonchimeg (63 kg). They are coached by Kh.Erdenet-Od, a coach of the national selected team.
