PRESIDENT RECEIVED BY KING OF NORWAY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Visiting Norway with the official visit President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and his spouse Kh.Bolormaa were received by His Majesty Harald V, the King of Norway, and Her Highness Queen Sonja of Norway on Saturday. The leader of Mongolia said the two countries will mark the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year and added that the bilateral friendly relations have been widening with many important events. Our countries' people have followed the same path of developing the democracy and have been sharing experiences in many spheres such as good governance, a rule of respecting laws, ensuring human right and sustainable development, the President said. He emphasized an importance of expanding the cooperation in solving together problems in the environment sector and in culture, sport and tourism. In response, the King said Mongolia is one of the ancient historical nations and underlined that the current official visit of Ts.Elbegdorj is the very first visit ever paid to Norway at Presidential level, "and it will contribute to widening of the bilateral cooperation." he hoped. The King congratulated Mongolia on transmitting to the democracy 20 years ago and for successfully chairing the Community of Democracies (CoD). Then the dignitaries touched upon the history and traditions of the two countries and the values of democracy. The President is being accompanied by L.Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ts.Davaasuren, a head of the Mongolia-Norway group at parliament; B.Enkhmandakh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Sweden and Norway; L.Purevsuren and Ch.Sosormaa, advisors to the President.
