PRESIDENT RECEIVED BY KING OF SWEDEN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and his spouse Kh.Bolormaa have been received b His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden in the King's palace of Stockholm. It is one of the legs of this official visit to Sweden. Their Majesties have met the leader of Mongolia by the occasion of coming at first time and exchanged opinions on the relationship, culture and the democracy which has become treasure of both countries. His Majesty King Carl is glad that the Mongolian President is visiting Sweden. He wished the leader of Mongolia a pleasant stay in Sweden and said that our two countries share many similar and different things but there is one common matter as their open-midedness for the democracy. Sweded applauds Mongolia's success gained in the last 20 years, he added. The Mongolian President spoke about the purposes of his visit, Mongolia's present social, economic and political situation, achievement of democracy since 1989, trials and problems. He said Mongolia wants to study experiences of Sweden that has been leading in the world by its economic indicators. Mr Elbegdorj said he pays a great deal of attention to the cooperation in the environmental sector, to developing of the ties in the energy, education and hi tech, to creating a good environment for the business, and to increasing a trade turnover between the two countries.
