Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The president of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) has received delegations of the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) and national weightlifting federations of some countries. Some of the visitors have been awarded the “Olympic Fame” Order for contributions to developing of the sports in Mongolia-- Intarat Yodbangtoey, a vice president of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and the AWF; Al-Jarmal Abdulla, a president of Yemen's Weightlifting Federation; Chiang Guangjiang, a secretary-general of China's Weightlifting Federation; Omurjan Moldodosov, a general coach of Kyrgyzstan's national team; and Kim Danil, a secretary-general of Uzbekistan's national team. The delegations have visited Mongolia to attend the Asian Cup&Interclub Weightlifting Championship that brought together some 150 weightlifters from ten countries. ** ** ** Mongolian judoists won four bronze medals in the Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Prix held on October 11-13 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Mongolia was represented by 11 judoists in the men's and women's eight weight categories. On the first day, an international master of sports D.Amartuvshin (men's 60 kg) and G.Otgontsetseg (women's 48 kg) grabbed bronze medals. Next day, another bronze went to international master of sports G.Odbayar (men's 73 kg) and B.Mongonchimeg (women's 63 kg). ** ** ** The Mongolian national selected women's team for tug of war won a silver medal in the Asian Tug-of-War Championship in Gimje, South Korea, whereas the men's team took 5th place. Apart of the main categories, the both men's and women's teams of Mongolia won bronze medals at the Club open championships. Moreover, the mixed team with four men and four women captured a silver medal by defeating the national team of Japan. B.Khuder
