"BOGD KHAN RAILWAY" PROJECT TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister for the Road and Transportation A.Gansukh informed that a project is to be implemented on the construction of the railway framework to pass in front of the Bogd khan mountain. The 170-km railway is to be run in 2012-2016 connecting the Mandal-Bagakhangai station of the UB Railway Corporation and passing through Tuv province's soums of Batsumber, Altanbulag, Sergelen and Bayan. A sum of USD 326,8 million is required for the project. Another advantage is that a total of 35-km railway passing through Ulaanbaatar will be used for the city needs allowing to get from its one side to another in 15 minutes. The Ministry of Road and Transportation says the “Bogd Khan-railway” project will be implemented by private sector on the basis of the Concession Law. Ch.Enkhtuya
