HEALTH VICE MINISTER RECEIVES USA AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Vice Minister for Health, Mr J.Amarsanaa received the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the United States of America Ms Piper Anne Wind Campbell. She was accompanied by the USAID Representative to Mongolia Mr Francis A.Donovan, MCC Deputy Resident Country Director Mr Burak Inanc and a staffer of USA Embassy in Mongolia Mr Charles Montgomeri. Mr Amarsanaa expressed satisfaction with the relationship and cooperation in the health sphere and said he wants to share with the visitors his opinions and ideas on several directions. He underlined that the created in 2008 Millennium Challenge Account programme has greatly contributed to Mongolia's social life and an economics and said the Mongolian side wants the health projects to continue, suggesting expanding the cooperation in diagnostic and treatment of cancer, in hospitals management and arrangements. The Ambassador Campbell appreciated these proposals and said she also has several proposals to put forward, for example, expanding the ties in the health by economic and trade contents, beginning cooperating in liver diseases joint researches, making stable joint researches in infectious diseases, and involving the Mongolians in the senior specialists' tours.
