G.BATTUNGALAG AT 3RD COMMITTEE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations (UN) G.Battungalag has delivered a speech on improving women's skills at a meeting of the UN General Assembly's Third Committee on Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee. She introduced the nations to Mongolian government's policy and measures for supporting women, underlining that increasing of the women's participation in the decision-making level is one of the vital goals of the national development strategy of Mongolia. She also said a number of women in the cabinet and parliament went up thanks to adopting a quota of women in the laws on gender equality and on elections. In addition, Ms Battungalag said the government is providing business women with opportunities to receive soft loans in a scope of a goal to increase the economic capacity of women. B.Khuder
