S. Korean Pusan Bank Q3 net rises 2.2 pct

SEOUL, Oct. 22 (Yonhap) -- Pusan Bank, a South Korean regional lender, said
Wednesday its third-quarter earnings increased 2.2 percent thanks to increased
fee income.
Net profit reached 78.7 billion won (US$57.6 million) in the July-September
period, compared with 77 billion won a year earlier, the lender based in the
nation's second-biggest city of Busan said in a regulatory filing.
Revenue jumped 102.5 percent on-year to 954.2 billion won and operating income
rose 1.4 percent to 114.2 billion won, the lender said.
At the end of September, the bank's total assets reached 29.5 trillion won, and
its capital adequacy ratio stood at 11.81 with bad-debt ratio of 0.74 percent.
Shares of Pusan Bank were trading at 7,840 as of 1:53 p.m., down 2.61 percent
from Tuesday's close.
