FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS KLOPPENBURG IN GERMANY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In frames of a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold met on Tuesday Mr Norbert Kloppenburg, a member of the Executive Board of the KfW Bankengruppe. They have discussed some specific issues of the Mongolia -Germany economic ties such as ways of cooperation in a financial side of the project on liquifying coal, and agreed to continue talks with German companies on this matter. The sides also shared views on a financial source for German companies at the projects regarding Oyu tolgoi and Tavan tolgoi deposits, on erecting a coke coal factory, on opportunity to collaborate in rare mineral resources. The KfW Bankengruppe is carries out business in Mongolia in many spheres, for example, it has successfully implemented projects on improving the energy provision of Darkhan and Ulaanbaatar cities and on developing the infrastructure of localities. The bank intends to financially support the German companies in their business in Mongolia's mining sector from the next year especially in realizing projects. Mr Kloppenburg and others visited Mongoia last summer and started intensifying the activities. B.Khuder
