MP WANTS TO FOUND ANIMATED FILMS FACTORY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A parliamentarian S.Ganbaatar proposed founding an animated films factory at a meeing of the parliamentary Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science on Tuesday. The MPs appreciated it but did not consider its financial matter. Some said that a related major programme should be implemented instead of just founding the factory, for example, Ts.Oyungerel stressed that this issue must be discussed in a scope of a specific programme. "It might be considered within the 'Right Mongolian Child' national programme," she added. L.Gantomor MP suggested that the national programme can reflect this matter. "We should focus on creating our national pride, heroes and brands through the animated films for the Mongolian children," G.Uyanga and G.Bayarsaikhan said. "At least, a capital for making such films should be reflected in the budget," they added. Big sum of money will be required, S.Ganbaatar said and proposed budgeting some MNT 100 million as a preparation. B.Khuder
