DRAFT POLICY SUBMITTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Road and Transport A.Gansukh submitted on Wednesday to the Speaker Z.Enkhbold a draft state policy on developing the civil aviation sector.
The cabinet considers that the air transport sector is one of the strategically important fields for Mongolia as the country is landlocked, has poor infrastructure and wide territory. This draft policy aims to develop the civil aviation sector, making it one of the priorities of the socio-economic development, said A.Gansukh. He added that the draft policy has an importance in determining the second biggest policy at the transport sector.
The Minister underlined that the cabinet worked out the developmental strategy on civil aviation until 2024, and it is expected that it will help to create a unified network of civil aviation that will connect all big cities and settlements to foreign countries and increase number of local and international flights with cheap prices.
The same day, a draft resolution on establishing the diplomatic relations with the Republic of Kenya was submitted to the Speaker.
