MONGOLIA-HUNGARY CONSULTATIVE MEETING HELD IN BUDAPEST

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A consultative meeting run on October 24-25 between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Hungary in Budapest city.
At the meeting, the Mongolian side was headed by G.Tsogtsaihan, the State Secretary of the Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Hungarian side--by Szabolcs Takacs, the Deputy Secretary of State of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry responsible for global affairs.
The two sides gave mutual information about the political and socio-economic situations in their countries, and then concluded a present situation of the Mongolia-Hungary relations. The sides also talked about seeking opportunities to widen the bilateral relations and cooperation especially in the trade and economic spheres.
The Hungarian side reported that a policy and action have been launched focusing on Asian countries, and expressed a willingness to expand the relations with Mongolia within this policy.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed with a necessity to stabilize high-level meetings and talks, then the Hungarian side informed that the President and Prime Minister's visits to Mongolia have been planned for the next year. These upcoming visits will have significant importance to forward the bilateral relations and cooperation, the Mongolia's side noted.
Moreover, the Hungary expressed a willingness to continue its development assistance to Mongolia and the cooperation in the traditional sectors such as agriculture, geology, urban development and medicine. Hungary also wants to collaborate with Mongolia in supplying medical facilities, banking reform, food productions and food safety, renewable energy and developing small- and middle-sized productions, to participate in construction works of the "Sainshand" industrial park, to mutually make investments and to introduce the latest techniques and technologies.
It is possible to cooperate in these matters, the Mongolian side said, and promised to analyze them in frames of a preparation of a regular meeting of the Mongolia-Hungary intergovernmental commission.
The sides emphasized an importance to host the 4th meeting of the Mongolia-Hungary intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation in the first half of 2013 in Budapest city, moreover expressed their willingness to support each other in frames of the UN and other international and regional organizations.
