Thailand hosts IASP conference for Asia

BANGKOK, November 27 (TNA) - Thailand hosts the International Association of Science and Technology Park (IASP Asia) 2012 Conference in Bangkok, scheduled for November 26-28, during which experts and representatives of government and private agencies, as well as international organizations from 18 countries participate to exchange knowledge and open innovative ideas. The three-day conference also serves as a platform for the participating parties to create their networks in the management of science parks, considered as major research entities to help boost their economies through the development of basic infrastructure, business technologies and science business industrial estates. For Thailand, the Science and Technology Ministry says it is opening more science parks in the country, focused on its utilization for the agro-industry in the North, for the development of livestock and energy sectors in the Northeast and for the development of rubber and oil palm plantations in the South.
