Thai Cabinet, officials swear allegiance to Thai King

BANGKOK, December 3 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra led Cabinet members and government officials to swear allegiance to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, promising to do good on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s upcoming birthday on December 5. The ceremony took place at Bangkok's Government House at 7:55am today, during with the prime minister extended her best wishes to His Majesty the King and then led Cabinet members and government officials to swear allegiance and sing a song to honor the beloved Thai monarch. The ceremony was aimed at urging government officials to be honest and accountable. Besides, the government is inviting the general public to pledge allegiance online at www.ocsc.go.th from December 3-31, with the names of people participating in the online activity to be later presented to His Majesty the King.
