N. Korea to offer aid to hurricane victims in Cuba: report
SEOUL, Oct. 25 (Yonhap) -- North Korea will send an unspecified amount of aid to
help hurricane victims in Cuba, the North's official news service said Saturday.
North Korea has "decided to send aid materials to the Cuban government in order
to help the Cuban people eradicate the aftermath of the damage and bring their
living to normal as soon as possible," the Korean Central News Agency said in a
brief report.
Hurricanes Ike and Gustav battered the island nation in late August and early
September, causing an estimated US$5 billion in damage, according to news
reports.
