President Ahmadinejad Starts Keynote Speech In Parliament

Tehran, Jan 16, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad started his keynote speech in the parliament Wednesday morning on the country’s major economic issues. As announced by the Parliament’s Presiding Board, the President addresses Majlis' open session this morning for about 90 minutes. Member of the Presiding Board Mohammad Dehghan said President Ahmadinejad would be the first speaker to address the parliament today. After his speech, he can either stay for the rest of the meeting or leave the Parliament upon his own will. According to Dehghan, representatives of different committees of the Iranian Parliament would also address the meeting after the President. Five more speakers are to be chosen by random to address the Majlis today, he said. Some 250 press and media journalists from news organizations both inside and outside the country are covering Majlis today's session./end
