Some Indonesian Student Get Scholarship To Japan
Jakarta, March 27 (Antara) - About 78 Indonesian students will leave for Japan next April 2013 to study in various universities and colleges as part of scholarship program given by Japan`s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho).
"We expect Indonesian students to obtain knowledge from their study and contribute to the development in Japan and Indonesia," Japan`s Vice Ambassador to Indonesia Makita said here on Wednesday.
Among the 78 students, about 33 students will conduct research studies, four students will study for Undergraduate Degree, 21 students for three years of course in technology and the other 20 students for two years of course in professional training.
Meanwhile a recipient of Monbukagakusho scholarship for research study Ida Bagus Hendra expressed gratitude for obtaining the chance to study in Japan.
"This is my first time trying to apply for a scholarship abroad and I am grateful that I succeed in my first attempt," he said.
Up till now there are 2,000 Indonesian students studying in Japan through scholarship program or self-funding.
