Group of U.S. scientists to visit N. Korea next year
SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Yonhap) -- A group of U.S. scientists in the information technology sector will visit Pyongyang in January next year to discuss exchanges between the two countries' scientists, U.S. international broadcaster Radio Free Asia (RFA) said Saturday.
The visit is subject to approval by the North Korean government, but it could be
affected by political issues, such as the nuclear talks between the U.S. and
North Korea, RFA said, quoting an official of the group.
During the visit, the group will meet with North Korean scientists and discuss
bilateral cooperation and exchanges, RFA said.
The group's planned visit to Pyongyang is sponsored by the two countries'
governments, RFA added.
