S. Korea U19 team loses to UAE after conceding two late goals

SEOUL, Nov. 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korea conceded two goals both in injury time to lose 1-2 to the United Arab Emirates on Monday (Korean time) in the under-19 Asian Football Confederation championship in Saudi Arabia, the sport's governing body here said.

South Korea led 1-0 when forward Kim Dong-sub scored a header in the 27th minute,
but could not stop the UAE from scoring two goals in rapid succession during
injury time, the Korea Football Association said.
The loss put South Korea in third place in Group B. The team beat Syria 1-0 in
the opener on Saturday.
South Korea, who seek their first title since 2004, will face Iraq on Wednesday.
A berth in the semifinals of the 16-nation tournament automatically guarantees a
ticket to the under-20 World Cup scheduled for next year in Egypt.
