Hyundai Mipo Q3 net surges 76 pct on high-priced ships
SEOUL, Nov. 3 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., the unit of the world's largest shipyard, said Monday that its third-quarter earnings increased sharply on rising demand for high-priced ships.
Its net profit reached 142 billion won (US$110 million) in the July-September period, compared with 81 billion won a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Operating income jumped 57 percent to 145 billion won over the cited period, and sales gained 33 percent to 929 billion won, it said.
