3 killed, 11 Injured In Blast In Pakistan’s NW Tribal Region

Islamabad, May 11, IRNA – At least three people were killed while eleven others injured in a blast in Pakistan’s north western tribal region on Friday, local media reported. According to reports the blast hit the main market area of Miranshah. Security forces reached the explosion site and cordoned off the area while rescue efforts are underway to shift the injured to Civil Hospital. The bomb was a remote control device planted in a motorcycle. Meanwhile five people sustained injuries when a bomb exploded outside an election office of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in south western city of Quetta on Friday. According to initial reports, the blast occurred near the Western Bypass. Many vehicles were reportedly damaged in the attack. Police and rescue officials reached the area and started investigation./end
