S. Korea's auto output falls for 5th month in October
SEOUL, Nov. 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's production of cars, trucks and buses skidded 0.4 percent in October, mainly due to falling exports amid fears of a global economic recession, an industry group said Thursday.
The fall marked the fifth consecutive monthly decline.
Total output slipped from a year earlier to 404,478 vehicles, the Korea
Automobile Manufacturers' Association said in a statement.
Last month, domestic sales declined 0.1 percent to 105,723 units and exports fell
4.5 percent to 265,065 units, according to the statement.
