PKS Envoy Defends Party's Decision Againts Increase Of Fuel Price

Jakarta, June 19 (Antara) - The Prosperous and Justice Party`s (PKS) Secretary General Mahfudz Siddiq defends his party`s decision which is against the government`s plan to increase subsidized fuel prices despite the party`s membership in the government coalition. "Until now PKS is still consistent with its decision. We don`t plan to review it," he said. Mahfudz added since the parliament and government have decided to increase fuel prices (decision is made through voting by parliament members), his party is now switching its focus on internal consolidation to win the 2014 general elections. Asked about the call for PKS to withdraw its three politicians who are still serving as ministers in President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono`s cabinet, Mahfudz said the party is waiting for statement from the president himself. "President Yudhoyono is the leader of the coalition," he said.
