PM: Foreign investors can be rest assured about their investments in Turkey

Taghiyeva / Foreign investors can be rest assured about their investments in Turkey as the unrest in the country had no effect on the investment market, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday, TRT Haber TV channel reported. According to him, the events on Taksim Square did not affect the flow of investments in Turkey. On the contrary, Turkey expects an increase in foreign investments in the country in the near future. "We always appreciate the foreign investments and the Turkish government will do everything necessary to ensure the security guarantees for investments in the country," he said. Protests have continued in Turkey for three weeks. According to the authorities, they are anti-government. Turkey's opposition parties accuse the police of using excessive force against protesters. Earlier, the Turkish Interior Minister said that nearly 2.5 million people participated in protests in 79 Turkish provinces during the past three weeks.
