Young athletes seen off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place on Friday in the Headquarters of Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) to see off Mongolian young athletes who will take part in the Nanjing 2013 Asian Youth Games to run on August 16-24 in Nanjing, China. Present at the ceremony were D.Zagdsuren, the MonNOC president; J.Otgontsagaan, the MonNOC Secretary-General; D.Surenkhorloo, acting head of the Sports Policy Regulatory Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Ts.Odonbayar, deputy director of Sports Training Center at the Ministry; and other officials. At the ceremony, Mr D.Surenkhorloo handed the state flag to M.Delgermaa, the flag bearer and twice national champion for table tennis. Mongolia will be represented at the Games by 76 athletes to compete in ten events such as athletics, basketball, fencing, handball, judo, shooting, table tennis, tennis, weightlifting and swimming. They are headed by Ch.Zorigtbaatar, a member of the MonNOC Executive Council.
