Iranian FM to visit Seoul, Pyongyang
SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki will visit
South and North Korea this week, South Korea's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
The minister is scheduled to arrive here on early Thursday from Malaysia and hold
talks with his South Korean counterpart Yu Myung-hwan later in the day, the
ministry said.
"The ministers will assess their countries' relations and review the global
security condition," a ministry official said.
Mottaki will head to Pyongyang on Thursday night in his own plane, he added.
Iran established diplomatic ties with South and North Korea in 1962 and 1973,
respectively.
