N. Korea nixes nuclear sampling

SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Wednesday denied the U.S. State Department's announcement made last month that the reclusive country agreed to allow its partners in the six-party denuclearization talks to take samples from its nuclear facilities to verify its nuclear declaration.

In a Foreign Ministry statement, the North also said it has slowed to half the pace of disabling its Yongbyon nuclear plant due to the delayed arrival of energy compensation.
