Georgian President to address UN General Assembly

Georgia, Tbilisi, Sept. 25 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili paid a working visit to the U.S. According to the presidential administration, the President will participate in the 68th session of the UN General Assembly and address the Assembly on September 25. Saakashvili told media that he will pay special attention to the occupation of Georgia's territory and its negative consequences. This is Saakashvili's last speech at the UN General Assembly as the President. Mikheil Saakashvili was also invited for a reception in connection with the opening of the session. It will be organized on behalf of the U.S president and first lady. Moreover, the president will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various countries and take part in various events during the visit to the U.S. In particular, he will attend a summit on civil society maintaining and the reception on the opening of the "Concordia in 2013" summit.
