Mitsubishi intends to build car manufacturing plant

Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 1 / Trend R. Hafizoglu / Japanese Mitsubishi company is interested in constructing a car manufacturing plant in Turkey, Sabah newspaper reported today. According to the newspaper, the plant will be established in Umraniye city near Istanbul. Turkey ranks sixth in car production in Europe. Turkey produces or assembles Ford, FIAT, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Opel, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and MAN cars. Moreover, Turkey manufactures BMC, Temsa and Otokar buses. According to the newspaper, these are not the first investments of the Japanese company in Turkey, as Mitsubishi Electric has invested 28 million lira in the country's economy.
