MONGOLIA TO HOST IBF ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia is to host the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Asia Championship Bout. It will start on November 9. Fourteen fighters from four Asian countries--Mongolia, South Korea, North Korea and China--will compete for medals in the ASA circus in Ulaanbaatar. The tournament will run in seven weight categories. Before the championship, Mongolia joined IBF at a ceremony at the Royal House Hotel. IBF is one of the four large world professional boxing Federations that aims to discover promising, talented fighters in the world professional boxing arena providing them the opportunity to display their talents and skills to the world. Under the name of the International Boxing Federation numerous regional and international tournaments and championships are held. IBF is an organization recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame which sanction world championship boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Association, the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Organization.
