Asiana Airlines appoints new CEO

SEOUL, Nov. 17 (Yonhap) -- Asiana Airlines Inc., South Korea's second-largest
carrier, said Monday it named a new chief executive officer (CEO) in a regular
personnel reshuffle.
Yoon Young-doo, 57, will be promoted from vice president to replace Kang Joo-an
in December, the airline said in a statement.
Yoon served as executive managing director of Kumho Tire Co., the tire unit of
Kumho Asiana Group and South Korea's No. 2 tiremaker, from 2003-2005, Asiana
Airlines said.
