Yonhap, Belarus news agencies agree on exchange
SEOUL, Nov. 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Yonhap News Agency and Belarus' largest newswire service agreed Wednesday on a news exchange.
Yonhap President Kim Ki-seo and Dmitry Zhuk, head of BelTA, agreed on the
exchange and to settle the details in future talks.
Zhuk was in Seoul this week at the invitation of the Korea Foundation, which
hosted an event titled "Next Generation Leaders from the Commonwealth of
Independent States."
Kim and Zhuk discussed recent transformations in world media business and ways to
enhance exchanges and cooperation between Yonhap and BelTA.
Founded in 1918, BelTA is the biggest news provider in Belarus, filing live news
coverage in Russian, Belarusian and English.
