Two Corruption Convicts From Sumbawa Besar Still On Run

Sumbawa Besar, Jan 2 (Antara)- Head of the Sumbawa prosecution office Sugeng Hariadi said his office is still looking for two law fugitives. M Nasir AW and Faried Husain, both corruption convicts, are still on the run after the Supreme Court`s ruling that they were to serve five years and three years in jail respectively. They have been declared law fugitives since last year after they failed to honor the summon to serve their jail term, Sugeng said here on Thursday. "A team has been formed to look four them . The team has gone to places such as Flores, Banyuwangi and Malang where they might hide themselves," he said. M Nasir AW is a former head of an oil depot of the state oil company Pertamina in Badas. He was found guilty in the subsidized oil fuel corruption case. Faried was a contractor found guilty of corruption in the procurement of food products for nutrition improvement program in Sumbawa. The district prosecution office has coordinated with the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecution Office to report to the Media Center of the Attorney General that they be declared a law fugitives wanted the by the law. The two are also ruled to pay Rp600 million in compensation for the losses they had inflicted to the state . Nasir is to pay Rp532 million and Farid Rp68 million.
