PetroChina To Speed Up Gas Supply To Power Plant

Jakarta, Feb 14 (Antara) - PetroChina International Jabung Ltd has agreed to speed up supply of gas to power generating plants in the district of Tanjung Jabung Timur, Jambi. Chief spokesman of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (SKK Migas) Elan Biantoro said in a statement PetroChina had pledged to fully meet its obligations as outlined in an agreement signed on Sept. 20 last year. Under the agreement the company would supply five million cubic feet of gas per day to generate power in the regency of Tanjung Jabung Timur. "Currently the supply plan is still in the process of due diligence study ," Elan said here on Thursday. He said PetroChina is still waiting for documents from buyers on revision of its corporate status and change of its name. "We hope the change would not take too long," he added.
