Minstry Promotes sail Raja Ampat

Jakarta, April 10 (antara) - The Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) has prepared several things to promote Sail Raja Ampat at home and abroad, official has stated. "We have made various preparations to promote the international marine event of Sail Raja Ampat at home and abroad," ministry`s public communication and information spokesman Freddy H Tulung stated here on Thursday. He noted that Raja Ampat is known for interesting diving sites as the world epicenter of marine biodiversity, where divers can find the most amazing underwater creatures in abundance. Freddy explained that the objective of conducting Sail Raja Ampat this year is to arouse public awareness on the importance of developing the country`s abundant marine potentials. "We are also mapping out public discussions in Jakarta and Papua with the younger generation such university and high school students, and workers," he pointed out. Freddy added that Kminfo will cooperate with Foreign Affairs Ministry to invite foreign journalists to Raja Ampat to cover the international marine event. He clarified that the peak event of Sail Raja Ampat, to be attended by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, will take place at Waisai Torang Cinta beach on June 21.
