NHN gets approval for listing on main bourse
SEOUL, Nov. 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's stock market operator gave final approval Wednesday for NHN Corp., the nation's top portal service provider, to move its shares to the main bourse from the junior board.
Starting Friday, 48 million NHN shares, currently traded on the tech-heavy KOSDAQ
market, will be listed on the main bourse, the Korea Exchange (KRX) said.
The initial listing price will be determined in the 90-200 percent range of
Thursday's closing price, according to the KRX.
Shares of NHN were trading at 112,900 won (US$77) as of 1:50 p.m., up 6.42
percent from Tuesday.
NHN's earnings rose to 280 billion won ($188.3 million) in 2007 from 152 billion
won the previous year, with sales surging to 920 billion won from 573 billion
won, according to the KRX.
