Lubna invites Irish companies to invest in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Nov 27, 2008 (WAM) - Foreign Trade Minister H.E. Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al-Qasimi, met yesterday with H.E. Mary Coughlan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland, to explore mechanisms for boosting bilateral trade and investment relations.

Sheikha Lubna stressed the need for increasing trade exchange and joint investment in light of the available huge diverse business opportunities in the two countries with emphasis in the UAE which is experiencing a qualitative leap in growth of non-oil economies.

''The UAE provides a fertile investment environment for Irish companies seeking to launch operations in the Middle East ........credibility and confidence in UAE market have spurred many global companies to establish operations here," she added.

Sheikha Lubna invited Irish businessmen to seize opportunities and facilities offered by the UAE to foreign investors.

The Irish minister said the Irish firms were interested in investing in technology and services sectors in the UAE.
