Tender For Jayapura Ring Road Project In September

Jayapura, Papua, Aug 22 (Antara) - Jayapura Mayor Benhur Tommy Mano said that tender for the Hamadi - Holtekamp ring road and flyover would be held in September 2014. Benhur pledged that work will start immediately after the process of tender has been wrapped up for the Rp1 trillion project. "The people have continued to ask question about the implementation of the flyover project," he said here on Friday He said there are still procedures to be followed such as the process of tender which is still being discussed by the city administration . In addition, there are still lands to be cleared and the analysis on the environmental impact (AMDAL), he added. He said the project is jointly financed by the central government and provincial and city administrations. He said the provincial administration has pledged to provide Rp360 billion and the city administration is to put up Rp237 billion. The central government or the public works ministry will provide around Rp839 billion, he added. He said the flyover will facilitate transport in the city.
