JOURNALISTS OF US DEFENSE VISIT US

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian military "Soyombo" newspaper's editorial received senior editor Albert Julie and a reporter Glenister Sinda from Asia Pacific Defense "Forum" magazine of the United States Pacific Command (PACOM). The guests spoke about their work and shared ideas on ways of cooperation with the Mongolian military press. They highly appreciated their Mongolian colleagues’ skills and efforts, having been shown during the UN peace-promoting operations and on the hotspots. They also learned that the "Soyombo" issues its “The Peace Messenger” English attachment and then talked with Mongolia side about information exchange and advertising Mongolian military press through the magazine. "Forum" is a professional military journal that is published under the auspices of PACOM, and distributed to military servants and the public. In previous copies of the magazine, many articles were dedicated to Mongolian military operations and the "Khaan Quest" exercises. At a request of the guests, Major-General S.Bayarmagnai, a vice-chairman of Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces, gave an interview to "Forum". He highlighted a history of Mongolian Armed forces’ involvement in the UN peacekeeping missions and a development perspectives of the military services.
