CPO Price In S Sumatra Declining

Palembang, S Sumatra, Dec 16 (Antara) - South Sumatra Plantation Service recorded a decline in the price of crude palm oil (CPO) in the province from Rp7,741 per kg two weeks ago to Rp7,635 on Tuesday. Head of the Plantation Service for marketing and processing affairs Benyamin said on Tuesday that the price of CPO in the province was not yet stable as it followed the developments of domestic and overseas prices. "The price of CPO in South Sumatra has not yet been stable over the past two seeks depending on the developments of domestic and international prices," Benyamin said. According to Benyamin, the routine meeting set the price of CPO at Rp7,632 per kg, lower than the Rp7,741 two weeks ago. The fixing of the CPO price also affected the price of fresh fruit bunches which dropped from Rp1,430 per kg to Rp1,379 per kg, he said.
