Sail Tomini Event To Be Held In September 2015

Jakarta, Jan 21 (Antara) - The Sail Tomini event will be held in Central Sulawesi province in September 2015, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Puan Maharani stated here on Wednesday. "The preparations for the Sail Tomini event are ongoing," Puan remarked during a meeting at her office with other ministers such as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Indroyono Soesilo, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, and Governor of Central Sulawesi province Longki Djanggola. In the meantime, Deputy at the Office of the Coordinating People's Welfare Minister Hazwan Yunas stated that the Sail Tomini event is an effort by the government to boost infrastructure development in the region, especially in sectors such as tourism and human resource development. The Indonesian government had hosted the annual Sail event in various areas in Indonesia since 2009. Every year, the name of the hosting area is placed behind the Sail brand. Until now, Sail Banda in 2009 and 2011, Sail Wakatobi in 2010 and 2012, Sail Belitong in 2012, Sail Morotai in 2013, and Sail Raja Ampat in 2014 have been organized by the government.
