SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Yonhap) -- Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO), South Korea's electric power monopoly, said Monday it has secured a US$2.5-billion deal to develop and operate a power plant in Saudi Arabia.
The company, together with ACWA Power Co. of Saudi Arabia, recently won a bid
from Saudi Electric Company to develop and manage a 1,200-megawatt thermoelectric
power plant in the country's western city of Rabigh until 2033, KEPCO said in a
statement.
Earlier in the month, the South Korean company also signed a tentative deal to
build a $500-million nuclear power plant in Jordan.
