Bahrain participates in UANOC symposium

Manama, May 7 (BNA): Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports general secretary Dr. Abdulrahman Sayyar will be taking part in a symposium on scientific research and using technology in sports, due to be held in Dubai. The symposium, which gets underway today (May 8), is organized by Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC) in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Directorate at the Arab League and the UAE Olympic Committee. It will run for four days. During today’s opening remarks, Dr. Sayyar will make visual presentation on Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports, to be held this year for the second consecutive time, but this time it will be open for Arab researchers. The event aims to promote scientific research and the use of technology in the field of sports in an attempt to develop the sports movement in the Arab region.
