Social Development Minister receives British delegation

Manama, May 31 (BNA): Social Development Minister Faeqa Al Saleh received member of the British House of Lords Jeremy Purvis and British Youth Justice Agency President Paula Jack. She updated them on the ministry's future programmes in protecting children, boosting partnership between the Social Development Ministry and the non-government organisations (NGOs) and caring for the handicapped and the elderly. She underlined keenness on bolstering bilateral cooperation in those fields. The British delegation invited the Social Development Minister to visit the UK and get updated on its experience in looking after the minors and the support provided by NGOs. They also expressed appreciation of the role played by the Social Development Ministry in boosting citizens' welfare.
